Who We Need The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct functional behavior assessments and skills assessments in order to design individualized behavior plans for individuals enrolled in outpatient and/or residential services.
The BCBA will utilize the principles of applied behavior analysis to guide intervention strategies and will provide training to staff, guardians/parents and team to ensure effective implementation.
The BCBA will be responsible for overseeing a caseload of individuals receiving ABA services and will support in the clinical supervision/oversight for direct support staff assigned to work with members on their caseloads.
The BCBA will utilize data collection systems to monitor individual progress and determine intervention effectiveness.
JOB SUMMARY (Including, but not limited to) Ability to work with individuals ranging in age and functionality with acute behavioral needs and skill deficits residing in family/caregiver home, group-home and/or day programming settings.
Reviews all relevant records and data pertaining to individuals on caseload.
Conducts skills-based assessment and Functional Behavior Assessments:
direct observations, structured interviews, preference assessments.
Devises and implements behavior support plans including skill acquisition programming and behavior reduction procedures.
Trains and models behavior intervention techniques for staff and parents/guardians across environments (home and community sites) Maintains respectful and professional relationship with individuals served, staff, caregivers/guardians, members of treatment team and Copa Health colleagues.
Works collaboratively with family, clinical teams, guardians and members of treatment team to ensure effective ABA services are being rendered.
Examines and evaluates data from staff, professionals and others to monitor individual progress.
Participates in clinical meetings, staffing's, IEP meetings.
Assists in development of ISP treatment goals, if necessary Inputs, graphs and analyzes behavior and program data to ensure efficacy of program services.
Completes all assessments, plans and monthly reports for individuals on caseload on time.
References behavior analytic research to ensure evidence-based protocols are being implemented.
Provides BCBA supervision for individuals obtaining hours for certification, if assigned to do so.
Provides direct supervision to RBT level staff that are assigned to individuals on BCBA caseload, or as assigned by supervisor.
Must document supervision activities and hours and conduct RBT assessment on an annual basis.
Completes timely and comprehensive documentation that accurately captures services rendered in electronic record system.
Attends staffing's, trainings, and supervision meetings, as assigned by supervisor.
Ability to travel to various sites where individuals reside to complete work assignments.
Ability to respond in timely manner to staff and parents/guardians for individuals on caseload.
Maintains billable hour requirements as assigned by supervisor.
Ability to collaborate with ABA team and other professionals in organization to assist with growth of program services which may include but not limited to development of program curriculum, training curriculum, assessment materials.
Demonstrates intermediate computer skills including the ability to input all required data.

MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Requires the following training, education, and experience listed below:
Master's degree in applied Behavior Analysis BCBA certification Arizona Behavior Analyst License or in process of obtaining license.
Satisfactory background outcome as determined by the Human Resources Department.
Unrestricted AZ valid driver's license and able to meet Copa Health company driving requirements.
Must be able to obtain an Unrestricted AZ fingerprint clearance card (level 1) issued by the Department of Public Safety.
